Mid-Level Radar Engineer
KBM is seeking to fill a full-time position supporting a radar of an Army air defense system. Successful applicants will be highly motivated self-starters, and possess strong problem solving skills. Applicants should be able to work effectively as a part of a team and independently. The selected candidate will function as part of a development and analysis team. The selected candidate will be responsible for analysis of radar design, mathematical modeling and digital simulation of the radar, targets, and electromagnetic phenomena, pre-test analysis, and analysis tool development. Infrequent travel may be required.
Education:
A Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, or applied physics with foundational radar background.
Required:
The position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain security clearance.
Desired Technical Skills:
Ability to methodically solve complicated problems
Competency in C/C++ and/or Fortran
Competency in MATLAB and/or Python
Competency with Windows and/or Linux
Working knowledge of continuous and discrete time signals
Working knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
Working knowledge of Electro Magnetic (EM) fields
Working knowledge of probability, statistics, and random variables
